Victoria’s seafood industry invites you to join us for a one of a kind celebration of the Australian seafood industry.

The spectacular Gala Dinner, being held from 7pm Friday 11th October, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will showcase some of our industry’s special produce, while also providing an opportunity to meet the fishers and farmer who have harvested the product. We will also showcase the hunters, the farmers, the true supply chain and champion the best of the seafood industry.  In joining our amazing primary producing, Australian seafood industry, we open the opportunity to all Australian’s to join us for a single night of celebration. In collaboration with three of Melbourne’s finest seafood chefs we will be presenting the very best Aussie seafood on the plate, at one time, in one place. An opportunity not to be missed.

 In a joint collaboration, the dinner will be delivered by three of Melbourne’s premier seafood chefs through an offering of many dishes where the Australian seafood will shine. “The opportunity to work with and bring together Alejandro Saravia (Executive Chef, Pastuso and Farmer’s Daughter), Joseph Goodman (Executive Sous Chef, MCEC) and Nick Mahlook (Executive Chef, the Atlantic) is a dream come true, and the offering for attendees will be something to remember”, said Johnathon Davey, Executive Director of Seafood Industry Victoria.

 “These gents deal day in, day out with Australian seafood, what they can plan and deliver when working with such amazing product is truly perfect. We will have on offer Southern rock lobster, oysters, Yumbah abalone, Infinity Blue barramundi, Hiramasa kingfish, Ecomarine Giant Grouper, and much more, to doesn’t get any better as an offering in the home of the food culture, Melbourne” said Mr Davey.

 From 9-11 October 2019, at Melbourne’s home of conference’s and big events, Seafood Industry Victoria is delighted to be hosting the national Seafood Directions conference at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference and it’s associated events bring together hundreds of seafood enthusiasts from across the country to champion Australian seafood.
